Chinchorreo or chinchorrear comes from the noun chinchorro, which is a food kiosk or restaurant that serves all kinds of fritters and huge plates of Puerto Rican food, like pork, rice with pigeon peas and fried plantains, alcapurrias, empanadillas and bacalaítos.   Chinchorreo is like Barhopping, going from bar to bar (chinchorro to chinchorro) on the side of the road to eat and drink, sometimes by horse.
